M.O.P.P. currently emphasizes reduction of gun violence and other forms of harm to youth in urban as well as suburban and rural communities. M.O.P.P. includes youth within its leadership core and anticipates drawing leaders and participants from the concerned citizens of every community. M.O.P.P. intends to develop proactive alternatives to youth-directed violence and to present Chicago and the nation with creative solutions to this growing problem. M.O.P.P. will facilitate collaboration among individuals and organizations seeking to address the needs of youth and young adults through the arts, education, employment, leadership development and personal growth opportunities.
